Terms of Service

By creating an account or using any part of the Service, you affirm that you are at least 13 years of age and are fully able and competent to enter into, abide by, and comply with these Terms. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent and warrant that you have the authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

Sacred Lineage provides an interactive biblical genealogy explorer, including family tree visualization, relationship browsing, study notes, PDF export, and church ministry tools. The Service is offered on a freemium basis with optional paid subscription tiers:

• Free: Access to core exploration features at no cost.
• Sacred Pro ($4.99/month): Unlocks study notes, PDF export, timeline view, and additional filters.
• Church Ministry ($19/month): Includes all Pro features plus multi-seat organization management, teaching mode, and curriculum study sets.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete information when creating your account
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
• Not share your account credentials with others
• Not create multiple accounts or impersonate any person or entity

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

Billing cycles: Paid subscriptions are billed monthly on the anniversary of your subscription start date. All fees are charged in US dollars.

Automatic renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew each billing period unless cancelled before the renewal date.

Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; you will retain access to paid features until that date.

Refunds: We offer refunds within 7 days of the initial purchase if you are not satisfied with the Service. After 7 days, all fees are non-refundable except as required by applicable law. To request a refund, contact support@sacredlineage.net.

Price changes: We may modify subscription prices with at least 30 days' advance notice. Continued use of the Service after a price change constitutes acceptance of the new price.

Church Ministry subscriptions include up to 25 member seats. The organization owner is responsible for managing seat assignments and ensuring that all members comply with these Terms. Seats may not be transferred to users outside the organization without consent. We reserve the right to revoke seats from accounts that violate these Terms.

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Violate any applicable local, national, or international law or regulation
• Transmit unsolicited bulk communications (spam)
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service or its infrastructure
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any portion of the Service
• Use automated tools (bots, scrapers, crawlers) to access the Service without our written permission
• Upload or transmit viruses or malicious code
• Engage in any conduct that restricts or inhibits any other user's use of the Service

The Service and its original content (excluding biblical texts in the public domain), features, and functionality are owned by Sacred Lineage and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

You retain ownership of any study notes or content you create within the Service. By submitting content, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store and display that content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you.

All biblical text data included in the Service is drawn from public-domain translations (KJV, WEB, ASV) and is not subject to our intellectual property claims.

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or uninterrupted access. We do not warrant that the Service will be error-free, secure, or continuously available.

We make no warranty regarding the theological accuracy, completeness, or interpretation of any biblical information presented in the Service. Users are encouraged to verify information against primary scriptural sources.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Sacred Lineage shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from:

• Your access to or use of (or inability to access or use) the Service
• Any unauthorized access to or alteration of your transmissions or data
• Any bugs, viruses, or other harmful code transmitted through the Service

Our total liability to you for any claims arising under these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

The Service integrates with third-party services including Stripe (payment processing) and Supabase (authentication and data storage). Your use of those services is governed by their respective terms of service and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices of those third parties.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service at our sole discretion, with or without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties, or for any other reason.

Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination shall survive, including ownership provisions, warranty disclaimers, and limitations of liability.

We may revise these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the "Last updated" date above and, for significant changes, by sending an email to the address associated with your account. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any dispute arising from these Terms shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the American Arbitration Association rules, except that either party may seek injunctive relief in a court of competent jurisdiction.
